East Texas Custom Baits got started during Covid around 2020 as a hobby and a way to offset my cost of buying tackle. Well the hobby part was great but the cost part wasn’t working out so well, due to the fact it is a very addictive hobby and the expense of the supplies. I started sharing the baits with friends and family. Their friends and family started purchasing bait from me. I started getting serious about trying to make this hobby paid for itself. I managed to get into a couple of tackle shops and sponsor a couple high school fishing teams. All baits are made in small batches using quality plastic to give the baits the best action possible; in doing so I’m able to do things the big manufactures can’t. I can embed rattles or weights inside them. The big guy can’t do that spitting out a 1000 worms at a time. With the supply chain issue we are having these days, a lot of my newer customers are having me blend their favorite colors that are no longer in stock or no longer in production.
